Department of Humanities & Sciences
The Department of Humanities & Sciences was established at the inception of the college in 2001. The Department provides the necessary foundation for B.Tech first year students by teaching them basic disciplines like Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry etc.
The faculty members in English train the students in better communication skills and prepare them for challenges that they have to face in the wider world. The Management Science faculty help the students in developing business management related skills and an understanding of the techniques involved in developing an enterprise. Faculty in Environmental Sciences create awareness about environment and pollution and the steps that need to be taken to reduce industrial pollution.
The Department is endowed with 91 well qualified and experienced faculty members, out of whom 57 are Ph.D. qualified. In addition, there are 7 Physical Directors. Fully equipped laboratories with all necessary equipment enable the students to perform the experiments and learn the concepts in depth. It is this Department that encourages the students to try their hand at cultural activities and welcomes them through the Orientation/Induction program when they join the college. H&S faculty members are associated with various clubs to organize extra-curricular activities such as debate, book reading, quiz etc.

Department of Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering
Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering (EIE) department was started in the year 2004 with an intake of 60. The department has a VISION “To turn out state of the art technologists in the area of Instrumentation engineering capable of meeting the challenging needs of industry in instrumentation and to create a ‘Center of Excellence’ in Instrumentation". The department offers a B.Tech degree in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering and has been accredited by NBA thrice: in 2013 for a period of two years and again in 2016 & 2021 for a period of three years.
The department also offers the following Minor Programs:
• B.Tech. EIE with minor in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI&ML)
• B.Tech. EIE with minor in Data Science (DS)
• B.Tech. EIE with minor in Cyber Security (CS)
• B.Tech. EIE with minor in Internet of Things (IOT)
• B.Tech. EIE with minor in Entrepreneurship
The department has twelve teaching faculty and three academic assistants. The department has five doctorates and seven faculty pursuing Ph.D. Many faculty members have published the papers in reputed journals, chaired the sessions at International Conferences, acted as peer review committee members for journals, and guiding the Ph.D. scholars.
The department has nine laboratories and one sponsored laboratory “Advanced Process Control Instrumentation Lab” under the MODROBS Scheme funded by AICTE of Rs.16,33,000/ and Authorized Training Center (ATC) Lab funded by Mitsubishi Electric India Pvt. Ltd. The department has a Research and Development center with two well-equipped labs namely “Factory Automation Lab–MITSUBISHI” and “Virtual Instrumentation Lab”. These are established for the sole purpose of developing projects by faculty & students. Mitsubishi Electric India Pvt. Ltd. has sponsored Factory Automation Equipment worth around 65 Lakh Rupees and has also sanctioned an “Authorized Training Center” at the department. This Center is one among 7 Authorized Training Centers across INDIA, where training needs of local industries are catered along with student skill development. The department also received a grant of Rs.8.00 Lakh for NewGen IEDC Projects under DST, Govt. of India.

Department of Information Technology
The Department was established in the academic year 2001 with an intake of 60 for B.Tech. and has been increased to 120 in the academic year 2007-08. Department offers M.Tech. Programme in Data Sciences with an intake of 18 seats from the academic year 2018-19. The Department was accredited by NBA, AICTE in the year 2007 and reaccredited in the year 2013, 2018 & 2021. The Department is headed by Dr. Bipin Bihari Jayasingh. All faculty members are post graduated at the Assistant Professor level, which is an entry level requirement for recruitment to the department. The faculty consists of a good mix of individuals with industry and academic experience. The Department maintains consistent faculty retention ratio.

There are 7 Ph.D. holders working for the department and 12 faculty members are pursuing Ph.D. from reputed institutions such as NIT, University of Hyderabad, JNTUH Hyderabd and JNTU Kakinada. The Department has well equipped 10 laboratories that include 8 units of B.Tech. laboratories, 1 Research & Project lab and 1 M.Tech. (DS) lab. The Department library contains 256 Volumes and 239 Titles for B.Tech. and 12 Volumes and 12 Titles for M. Tech. students apart from Main Library in which the Department is provided with 4320 Volumes and 556 Titles for B.Tech. and 642 Volumes and 84 Titles for M. Tech.
The department has been conducting workshops, faculty development programs, seminars, guest lectures and conferences since its inception to keep the faculty and students abreast with the latest developments in the field of technical education. IngenuITy is a students technical Association of department of IT inaugurated on 06/02/2016. There were many technical events organized from the day of its inception for the students. Tech shastra is an annual technical fest. organized every year by IngenuITy.

Brief Profile of Professors And Ph.D. Holders:
1. Dr. Bipin Bihari Jayasingh, Professor and Head of the Department, has 20 years of teaching and 4 years of industry experience. He has completed his Ph. D in Cyber Forensics at Berhampur University in the year 2007 under the JRF fellowship scheme of Directorate of Forensic Science, MHA, Government of India. He has published 75 research papers in various International/national Conferences and Journals. He has filed one patent. His research specializations are Cyber Security & Forensics, Agent based Computing, Intrusion Detection Systems, Cryptography, Wireless sensor & Adhoc Networks, Mobile Computing, Data Mining, Machine Learning, IOT, Blockchain Technologies. He is a member of IEEE.
2. Dr. R. Seetharamaiah, Professor has 20 years of industry experience and 20 years of teaching experience. He has completed his Ph.D. in Distributed Computing from University of Hyderabad. His specializations are Computer Architecture, Parallel and Distributed Systems, Internet of Things and Cloud Computing.
3. Dr. B. Vikranth, Professor has 20 years of academic experience. He has completed his Ph.D. from University of Hyderabad in the research area of Parallel Computing. His Ph.D. work was a contribution in the field of multi-core processor Run-time systems. His teaching contribution at the under-graduation level includes the courses Data Structures, Computer Organization, and Linux System Programming. He has published about 8 research papers in various International/national Conferences and Journals.
4. Dr. J. Sengathir, Associate Professor has 15 years of teaching experience. He has completed his Ph.D. from Pondichery University. He is the recipient of the Pondicherry University Gold Medal in the year 2009. His areas of interest are Mobile Adhoc Networks, Genetic Algorithms, Bio-Inspired Computing. He has authored more than 50 research papers in reputed SCIE indexed International Journals and Scopus indexed International Conferences. He is a life member of ISTE, ISRD, member in IAENG and Senior Member in UACEE.
5. Dr. S V Suryanarayana, Associate Professor has 10 years of teaching and research experience. He has completed his Ph. D at GITAM University, AP in the year 2017. His areas of interest are Data Mining, Machine Learning, Data Science. He has published about 12 research papers in various International/national Conferences and Journals.
6. Dr. Rakesh Kumar Godi, Associate Professor has 10 years of teaching and research experience. He has completed his Ph. D at VTU University, Belagavi, Karnataka in the year 2017. His areas of interest are Data Mining, Feedforward Network Model, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Medical Image Processing. He has published about 12 research papers in various International/national Conferences and Journals. He is a life member of ISTE and IETE.
7. Dr. V Sidda Reddy, Associate Professor has 27 years of teaching and research experience 6 years of industry experience. His areas of interest are Data Mining & Data Stream Mining: Frequent Itemset Mining, Association Mining. He has published about 8 research papers in various International/national Conferences and Journals.
