1st International Conference on Recent Trends in Embedded, Computing, Control and Automation (ICRTECCA – 2025)

The Department of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering at CVR College of Engineering successfully organized the 1st International Conference on Recent Trends in Embedded, Computing, Control and Automation (ICRTECCA – 2025) on April 23–24, 2025. This event also marked the celebration of the department’s remarkable milestone—20 glorious academic years of excellence.

In an era defined by technological advancement, the conference served as a significant platform for global researchers, academicians, and industry professionals to exchange groundbreaking ideas, showcase innovations, and build collaborative networks in the fields of embedded systems, intelligent computing, automation, and control technologies.

The conference received 193 paper submissions, including 10 international papers from countries such as Switzerland, USA, Canada, Australia, Malaysia, and Singapore, and 183 national papers from across Indian states like Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Odisha, Puducherry, Punjab, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Delhi. After rigorous peer-review, high-quality papers were selected for presentation and publication.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by Dr. Anesh Kumar Sharma, OS & Director (Technical), ECIL, as Chief Guest, who delivered an inspiring address on the critical role of embedded and automation technologies in national missions and industry applications. We were also honored by the presence of Dr. Bozenna Pasik-Duncan, Professor of Mathematics, University of Kansas, IFAC Fellow and IEEE Fellow, as Guest of Honor, who emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration and global partnerships in advancing engineering research and education.


ICRTECCA – 2025 featured 7 technical sessions (3 offline and 4 online) and a keynote sessions delivered by Suman S,   Information Technology Practitioner, covering diverse domains including Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare Technologies, Intelligent Systems, Embedded Applications, Robotics, Control, Power Electronics, Signal Processing, and VLSI.

We express our sincere gratitude to all the authors, reviewers, keynote speakers, session chairs, and the organizing committee. Special thanks to the management of CVR College for their unwavering support. The conference witnessed enriching discussions, and we hope it serves as a foundation for future research and innovation.

Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering (EIE) department was started in the year 2004 with an intake of 60. The department has a VISION “To turn out state of the art technologists in the area of Instrumentation engineering capable of meeting the challenging needs of industry in instrumentation and to create a ‘Center of Excellence’ in Instrumentation". The department offers a B.Tech degree in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering and has been accredited by NBA Four times. First time in 2013 for a period of two years and later in 2016, 2021 and 2024 for a period of three years upto 30/06/2027.

The department also offers the following Minor Programs:

•    B.Tech. EIE with minor in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI&ML)
•    B.Tech. EIE with minor in Data Science (DS)
•    B.Tech. EIE with minor in Cyber Security (CS)
•    B.Tech. EIE with minor in Internet of Things (IOT)
•    B.Tech. EIE with minor in Entrepreneurship

The department has twelve teaching faculty and three academic assistants. The department has five doctorates and seven faculty pursuing Ph.D. Many faculty members have published the papers in reputed journals, chaired the sessions at International Conferences, acted as peer review committee members for journals, and guiding the Ph.D. scholars.

The department has nine laboratories and one sponsored laboratory “Advanced Process Control Instrumentation Lab” under the MODROBS Scheme funded by AICTE of Rs.16,33,000/ and Authorized Training Center (ATC) Lab funded by Mitsubishi Electric India Pvt. Ltd. The department has a Research and Development center with two well-equipped labs namely “Factory Automation Lab–MITSUBISHI” and “Virtual Instrumentation Lab”. These are established for the sole purpose of developing projects by faculty & students. Mitsubishi Electric India Pvt. Ltd. has sponsored Factory Automation Equipment worth around 95 Lakh Rupees and has also sanctioned an “Authorized Training Center” at the department. This Center is one among 10 Authorized Training Centers across INDIA, where training needs of local industries are catered along with student skill development. The department also received a grant of Rs 17.50 Lakh for NewGen IEDC Projects under DST, Govt. of India.
