Department of Humanities & Sciences
The Department of Humanities & Sciences was established at the inception of the college in 2001. The Department provides the necessary foundation for B.Tech first year students by teaching them basic disciplines like Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry etc.
The faculty members in English train the students in better communication skills and prepare them for challenges that they have to face in the wider world. The Management Science faculty help the students in developing business management related skills and an understanding of the techniques involved in developing an enterprise. Faculty in Environmental Sciences create awareness about environment and pollution and the steps that need to be taken to reduce industrial pollution.
The Department is endowed with 91 well qualified and experienced faculty members, out of whom 57 are Ph.D. qualified. In addition, there are 7 Physical Directors. Fully equipped laboratories with all necessary equipment enable the students to perform the experiments and learn the concepts in depth. It is this Department that encourages the students to try their hand at cultural activities and welcomes them through the Orientation/Induction program when they join the college. H&S faculty members are associated with various clubs to organize extra-curricular activities such as debate, book reading, quiz etc.
