NAAC 'A' Grade, NBA Accredited for 7 UG programs under Tier 1 CVR College of Engineering is accredited by NAAC with 'A' Grade from 2016 to 2021 (in the process of renewal). The college is also accredited by NBA (National Board of Accreditation) in Tier-1 for seven of its UG programs - EIE for a period of 3 years from 2024-2027, CSE, Civil, Mechanical, IT for a period of 3 years (2025-2028) and ECE, EEE for a period of 6 years (2022-2028). Record Placements The college has been creating records year after year. In spite of a huge recession year with about 75 companies visiting CVR and above 900 placements for the 2023-24 academic year, it is the highest among the peer group of colleges. The average salary increased to a new high. The highest offer is a remarkable Rs. 33,00,000 and more than 100 students got offers with high salaries, a new record. Library The College has a dedicated three-storied building with a total area of 1450 sqm, for the exclusive use of Library and Postgraduate Research facilities. Prof. K.Lal Kishore, Ph.D, SMIEEE, FIETE, FIE, LMISTE, LMISHM

Prof. Kondepudi Lal Kishore, former Vice-Chancellor of JNTUA, Ananthapur during 2012-15, is a distinguished academician and administrator with over 46 years of Teaching experience. A postgraduate and Ph.D degree holder from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, Professor Kishore began his Career in teaching at Jawaharlal Nehru technological University (JNTUH) Hyderabad in 1977. He is elevated as Professor in 1990 in the same University and subsequently held many academic and administrative positions in the University. He has over 228 research publications to his credit till now. So far, 34 research scholars have obtained Ph.D under his guidance and some more are doing research under him. He wrote Six Text Books in the areas of Electronic Devices, Electronic Circuit Analysis Linear I.C. Applications, Electronic Measurements and VLSI, which are popular and widely used by engineering students. 

He has received many Awards at National and International level. Some of them are:
1. Life Time Achievement Award from ISTE AP Section, in 2021.
2. BEST TEACHER AWARD FOR THE YEAR 2004 – AWARDED BY GOVERNMENT OF ANDHRA PRADESH TO THE UNIVERSITY TEACHERS.
3. SIR MOKSHAGUNDAM VISWESWARAYA AWARD from Govt. of Andhra Pradesh and Institution of Engineers, Hyderabad chapter, in September 2010.
4. Received 11th IETE – Prof. SVC AIYA MEMORIAL AWARD in 2007 for recognition of Exemplary contribution in guiding students, researchers and teachers for research work in the field of Electronics & Telecommunications Engineering during the last five years.
5. Presented with DISTINGUISHED INDIAN AWARD for achievements in Academic, Research and Development at the International Conference ICSCI 2007, on January 03 – 07, 2007.
6. Won FIRST BAPU SEETHARAM MEMORIAL AWARD for Outstanding Contribution in the field of Electronic Components in 1986.
7. EMINENT ELECTRONICS AND COMMUNICATIONS ENGINEER AWARD from Institution of Engineers (IEI) India, November 2012.
8. CITATION AND AWARD from Andhra University and IEI, Visakhapatnam, November 2012.
9. U.P. GOVERNMENT NATIONAL Award for outstanding work done in specified areas of engineering and Technology 2012.
10. Award for Outstanding Contribution to the World, given by WORLD CHANCELLORS & VICE CHANCELLORS Education Congress, 30th June 2014.

He has many more distinctions to his credit from National and International organizations. He Worked as Visiting Professor at Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Bangkok and Defense engineering College (DEC), Debrezeit.

He is a member of the Selection Committees of many Universities, and also on the expert panels of AICTE, UGC, MHRD, APPSC etc. He was Governing body member of NIT Surat during 2008-10.

He worked as Rector of JNTUH, Hyderabad during 2008-10, as Registrar during 2005-08 and also during 2011-12. He has held many other administrative positions in JNTU Hyderabad, as Chairman BOS, Head of the Department, Principal of Engineering College, Director SCDE, Director UGC Academic Staff College, Director Academic and Planning etc. He was Convener of State level Competitive entrance examination ECET, (FDH), thrice, during 2000, 2001 and 2005.

He delivered many invited lectures and chaired Technical sessions.

Dr. Nayanathara K Sattiraju, Ph.D.

Dr. Nayanathara K Sattiraju obtained  BE (ECE) and ME from the College of Engineering, Osmania University in 1983 and 1985 respectively. She is a recipient of the CMC gold medal in ME. She obtained her doctorate from the National Institute of Technology, Warangal in 2003. She was the Principal of SKTRM College of Engineering for ten years prior to joining CVR College of Engineering as Professor and Head of ECE. She was the Principal of CVR College of Engineering from 2014 to 2022. She is currently the Dean of Academics at CVR. She has both national and international papers to her credit including in IEEE Transactions of A&P and the Electromagnetic Compatibility journal.  She was Vice-Chairperson and Chairman of short term courses sub-committee of IETE, Hyderabad centre during 2008-10. She is a senior member of the IEEE. She was part of a twenty five member team of IUCEE that toured universities of the USA in 2008 exploring avenues for collaboration. She served as a member of the Board of Studies and staff selection committee of Sri Krishnadevaraya University. Her areas of interest are electromagnetics, antennas and microwave devices and circuits. She was a member of the Governing Council of the IETE, New Delhi during 2012-2016.  She was the Chairperson  of the Publications Committee of the IETE during 2015-2016. She has been resource person in many Faculty Development Programmes and member of Committee of PGECET of the state of Telangana. She is a member of the Board of Studies of Electronics & Communication Engineering of the JNTU, Hyderabad. 
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Prof. K. Rama Sastri, B.E., M.E., Ph.D.(IIT Madras), 1976

Dr. Rama Sastri was the Rector, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), until July 2002. Dr. Rama Sastri had held a wide variety of academic and administrative positions including Professor, Head of Department, Vice-Principal, Principal, Director and Registrar, JNTU prior to becoming the Rector of the University. He has published over 25 papers in national and international Journals and Conferences and he has guided more than 30 M.Tech. projects. He is also the honorary recipient of the Andhra Pradesh State Government  “Best Teacher Award”  for the University Teacher Category for the year 1994.
 
Dr. Rama Sastri had been the Principal of the College since 2002. Under his dynamic leadership, CVR College has risen to a position of pre-eminence as an educational institution within just a few years, excelling in various engineering disciplines.
