M1: To provide well-balanced academic curriculum that prepares graduates to excel in research, higher studies and build career in the core sector.

Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs)
PEO1: To prepare students to excel in higher education or to succeed in the electrical industry or in technical professions, through rigorous training during the program.
PEO2: To provide the students a solid foundation in engineering basics, scientific and technical fundamentals required to solve engineering problems in an industry or in a profession or to pursue higher studies.
PEO3: To train students with good scientific and engineering knowledge so as to comprehend, analyse, design and create novel products and solutions for the real life problems
PEO4: To inculcate in students, a professional, social and ethical attitudes, an effective communication skills, team work skills, a multidisciplinary approach and an ability to relate engineering issues to a broader social context.
PEO5: To provide students with an academic environment leading to excellent leadership qualities, life-long learning attitude for a successful professional career.
Program Outcomes (POs)
PO1: Engineering Knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
PO2: Problem Analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching sustained conclusion using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences and engineering sciences.
PO3: Design/Development of Solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and Safety, and the cultural, societal and environmental considerations.
PO4: Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of information to provide valid conclusions.
PO5: Modern tool Usage: Create, select and apply appropriate techniques, resources and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
PO6: The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
PO7: Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.

PSO1: Acquire in-depth knowledge to design and control various electrical machines, power electronics, electrical drives for projects and industrial applications.
PSO2: Gain adequate competence to improve the efficiency in electrical power generation, transmission, and distribution for global energy sustainability.
PSO3: Demonstrate skills in advanced technologies for higher education, research and to find cost effective solutions for modern engineering problems.
Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs) for R 18
PSO1: Identify, analyze, design and execute any electrical and electronics circuits and provide solutions to the real time electrical engineering problems.
PSO2: Demonstrate skills and serve in electrical engineering industry, to improve the efficiency of power generation, transmission and distribution across the country.
PSO3: Pursue higher education and acquire knowledge in other related engineering disciplines and display necessary skills to carry out inter-disciplinary works.
PSO4: Improve the World-Energy Scenario and enhance usage of renewable energy sources, so that the next generations do not suffer from energy crisis.
