Project title: Low cost water purifier

Unique Selling Proposition:

• The device consists of pre-filtration zone,  to remove suspended matter and dirt, a composite membrane that can remove microbial contamination and organic matter and the post-treatment that enhances the quality of water
• Mode of operation: works both on electricity (uses pump for treating a batch of water) as well as gravity flow using overhead pipeline
• Ease of installation: The end user can clean and maintain the filter on their own in view of its construction
• Replaces costly existing space occupying water purifiers delivering the same level of functionality
• Overcomes the problem of wastewater generation as is the case with many conventional products

Social Impact:

This low cost water purifier addresses the needs of the major segments of population covering urban cities, rural villages and urban slums.
