Social Impact	Project title: Low cost water purifier Unique Selling Proposition: The device consists of pre-filtration zone, to remove suspended matter and dirt, a composite membrane that can remove microbial contamination and organic matter and the post-treatment that enhances the quality of water Mode of operation: works both on electricity (uses pump for treating a batch of water) as well as gravity flow using overhead pipeline Ease of installation: The end user can clean and maintain the filter on their own in view of its construction Replaces costly existing space occupying water purifiers delivering the same level of functionality Overcomes the problem of wastewater generation as is the case with many conventional products Social Impact: This low cost water purifier addresses the needs of the major segments of population covering urban cities, rural villages and urban slums.
