Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering

Electrical and Electronics Engineering has an enormous and widespread impact on our daily lives. From power stations to electric vehicle charging, telecom networks to computing infrastructures, electronic systems in our homes, the world of entertainment and industry: all are created, designed and operated by electronic and electrical engineers. Creating the technology and systems of the future demands vision, technical expertise and business acumen. Our training equips graduates with all these skills and qualifies them to progress to rewarding careers.

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering has an excellent reputation for both its teaching and research work. We score very highly (92%) for student satisfaction and over 84% of our graduates have found relevant employment within six months of leaving College. The course has full accreditation from NBA and the degree offered is through JNTUH.

The department was started in the year 2001 with an intake of 40 (B.Tech) and at present this number has increased to 120. These students are divided into two sections (A & B) for the purpose of instruction. The department has nine state-of-art laboratories which have been setup in accordance with the JNTU syllabus. All teaching staff of the department are Post-Graduates in Electrical Engineering few with doctorates and many pursuing for it.

The students of this department are regularly exposed to the latest trends in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering through regular industrial visits, guest lectures, conferences, and workshops etc. Extra experiments are being conducted for all classes in addition to those prescribed in the JNTU syllabus in order to give students a solid grasp of the subjects.

Staff members of this department are encouraged to improve their qualifications and get involved in research. Full support is provided for the same.

A Technical Association (ELECTROCRUISE) of EEE has been formed by the senior students of the Department for the benefit of all students to impart additional knowledge in the field of E&E Engineering apart from the prescribed curriculum by organizing Guest lectures (by Professors from IITs, NITs, BITs, IIITs, Universities & Industries), Technical Quiz, Workshops on Embedded systems, Circuit Design and PCB making, Contests for students and also to develop the organizing capabilities among the students.

Senior students conduct workshops on PCB design and Embedded systems to their junior students is initiated by the Department (Learning from Peers). It is first of its kind implemented and working very well. Majority of the students are participating. This activity is helping even in building up interactions between the students.

In addition to this, students and staff of EEE are very seriously involved in service to society activities such as Swachh Bharat, Teaching compaign on moral values, computer education, communication skills, etc are conducted on regular basis in nearby Government schools in the villages Kongara Kalan and Pocharam and many other villages.
