About CVR College of Engineering

The CVR College of Engineering was established in 2001, and its eleventh batch of students graduated from the college, in May 2015. The college was rated as the #1 co-educational college in pass percentage among nearly 300 colleges under JNTU, Hyderabad. The College was given permanent affiliation and Autonomous status by JNTUH in 2011. The college received autonomous status from the UGC for a period of six years from 2014-15 onwards. The college has a clearly defined goal of evolving into a hub of academic research.

About CSI Student Branch

The student branch was established in 2015 with 300 student members aimed to stand as a platform for technological advancement of students in the fields of Computer Science and Information Technology through workshops, technical talks, technical events etc.

We have successfully conducted several technical talks and further plan to conduct many workshops and sessions in the future months.

About the Workshop

Government of India has taken the major initiative to make the country e-ready by initiating various electronic-governance implementations across the country like automation of Income tax, passport, etc. Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) forms the backbone for all these initiatives.

The Two-day workshop focuses on the technical aspects of PKI with emphasis on practical & hands-on sessions for better understanding of the usage of Digital Signatures, Certificates and the overall Public Key Infrastructure. The training covers basics of Cryptography, PKI Algorithms, PKI Components, Digital Signature, PKI Standards & Policies, Risks of PKI, Developing PKI-based applications, PKI Scenario in India and in other countries. The practical & hands-on sessions cover setting up of institute-wise root CA, Installation of Certificates, Digital signing for web security, e-mail security, Java Libraries for PKI, OCSP etc.
